Mandoral is the sword-wielding Lord of Salamandastron who enjoys reading volumes about the mountain's history. While reading one of these he finds documents from Urthwyte's rule describing the tragic fate of the High Queen Rhulain Wildlough, as well as a sketch of her armour. He uses this drawing to recreate the cloak and kilt, and makes a new sling and pouch for Tiria. Some time later he is given Purloined Petunia, a commandeered vessel named in memory of Cuthbert's murdered daughter.
