Luglug - so named because of his large ears, or lugs - is the GUOSIM leader who wields a shrew rapier and lives with his tribe in Mossflower. He is the father of Osbil and first meets Maudie when she needs to travel along the River Moss, cheerfully allowing her aboard his logboats. He is killed by an arrow from Stringle while running from the Brownrats and carrying Yik on his shoulders, and Osbil succeeds him as he is the eldest child. He avenges his father's murder when he slays Stringle at the Plateau.
