This old Abbey, located in a desert southeast of Mossflower, is founded by Sylvaticus and meant to be a place of harmony. A horrific plague brought on by vermin causes many residents to either die or become extremely ill, so Germaine takes the survivors and flees to Mossflower. After this it is essentially forgotten, though some clues as to its location are hidden around Redwall. A massive earthquake results in the deteriorating Abbey collapsing underground, and at one point Malkariss conquers it with his Blackrobe Rats army. The collapse of his kingdom by Matthias and Orlando turns the copse into a valley, and innumerable seasons later Bragoon and Saro travel here to search for a supposed cure for Martha's mysterious paralysis. Rocks and crushed stones conceal any trace of Loamhedge's existence, and it has not appeared or been mentioned since.
