Lardtail is a soldier in Swartt's horde and ally of Wildag as they are both unhappy with their leader's authority. Swartt learns of their treachery and forces him to feed Wildag an entire dead crow (Krakulat's mother, which ignites the war between the Crow Brethren and vermin army). After the ferret chokes to death, Swartt has an unlucky Lardtail killed by Marbul and Scarback for "murdering" a Captain.
