Lilac-smelling Green Cloths

Appear In: The Taggerung

These green homespun cloths are hidden around Redwall by Cregga and Hoarg so that Mhera can find them and realize her destiny to become Abbess. They smell of lilacs and have words written on them, such as KITTAGALL. These are actually acronyms for a phrase like "Kindness Is The Thing A Good Abbey Leader Learns". The final cloth has the acronym ICMATOTROA ("I Chose Mhera As The Ottermaid To Rule Our Abbey").

Places The Cloths are Found
HITTAGALL (humility) - wedged in a beam in the Bell Tower
PITTAGALL (patience) - stitched into an Infirmary sheet
WITTAGALL (wisdom) - with the torches near the east wallgate
UITTAGALL (understanding) - on the west wall rampart
KITTAGALL (possibly kindness) - in the Orchard
FITTAGALL (friendliness) - in Cregga's bedspread when she lays underneath Martin's tapestry
SITTAGALL (strength) - stuck on the sole of Bobb's sandal, then on Boorab's tail
