Kite is a young member of the Rogue Crew Sea Otters who lives with them on the High North Coast. She wields an axe and shield, making a new notch in the latter every time she kills a vermin and telling some Long Patrol hares she doesn't know how many are on the shield. She joins the alliance with Rake's group to hopefully defeat Razzid, traveling with them and her crew to Mossflower where she assists in tending to some wounded GUOSIM following a vicious ambush by the corsairs. During their trip to Redwall she is ordered by Skor to give Drogbuk a much-needed bath, and she does so with such vigor that the old hedgehog loses the remainder of his quills. Along with the others she stands on the Abbey walltop when Razzid charges aboard his ship, running out onto the Lawns when she sees Greenshroud closing in. She is unaware that the Wearat has launched an arrow from one of the vessel's gigantic crossbows to destroy the main gates, and she is killed by the missile.
