Killconey - "coney" is an old English word for "young rabbit" - is a Captain in Cluny's horde who originates from Mossflower and forced to join the army by some rats. He commands a group of vermin digging a tunnel into Redwall's southwestern corner, but the plan is foiled when the Abbey inhabitants pour a cauldron of boiling water into the tunnel which kills Darkclaw and many others. As he possesses some knowledge about siege towers he constructs one for Cluny to use in gaining access via the back wall, however this also fails miserably. Cluny end ups suffering from temporary self-confidence issues and leaves him in charge along with Fangburn. In the final battle he is grabbed by the Scourge when Matthias attacks, and as a result he is chopped in half by Martin's ancient sword.
