Karvil is a dagger-wielding resident of Sampetra and steersrat aboard Sprayraider. After the ship runs aground most of them are killed by Grath who is hiding out somewhere, and along with Sculrag he stays behind the vessel's hull. The two get into an argument, Sculrag kicks his opponent's knife away, and when Karvil goes out to get it back he is fatally struck between the eyes by Grath's arrow.
