Jurkin is the large leader of the Dillypins clan who wields a sling and lives with them on rafts with huts in the middle that travel along the waterways. He is the uncle of Tingle and possible distant relative of the Spearbacks. After meeting Deyna/Tagg and Nimbalo when he goes to check on Lollery, he offers to take them aboard his raft since they are traveling in the same direction. Upon reaching some watermeadows he tells the young otter about his visit to Redwall in past seasons and that the mouse from his dreams is named Martin. He takes them as far as Campathia's home before returning to his tribe.
