This tribe of sixty-three squirrels is led by Jukka and reside in a pine grove near Salamandastron. They speak in an archaic manner such as "ye", "thy", and "thou". Of the members, twelve are young or old. Some of them leave with Jukka and Fleetscut to find Bucko, who supposedly has a large hare army. They refuse to participate in war (which they see as a business) unless they can steal weapons and armour from slain vermin. After Jukka's death, they are led by Ruro.
