Jango is the rapier-wielding GUOSIM leader who lives with his tribe in Mossflower. He is the husband of Furm, and father of Borti, Flib, and Midda. When his oldest daughter goes missing he does not think much of it as she often runs away, however after his other two children are kidnapped he becomes gravely concerned and leads his band to Redwall. They meet up with the Witherspyk Performing Players (who are joined by Buckler and Diggs) during the trip, and not long after arriving at the Abbey he heads back out with a search party to find the Ravagers army. He helps to interrogate a captured Gripchun and nearly kills the ferret after his temper flares, but he is stopped by his friends. Some time later he goes out again while Oakheart's family is guarding Redwall, and he meets Axtel who is caring for Borti. The warrior mole tells him that he has rescued several babes from Althier, and he and Flib are reunited. His band assists in fighting the Ravagers at their lair as well as the Abbey, reunites with Midda, and moves back into Mossflower after Vilaya's death.
