Hogspit is a large and mean soldier in the Rapscallions army who wields a cutlass. He despises Lousewort and Sneezewort after they accidentally strike him with a ship's wheel, and along with the former he is promoted to Rapscour after Borumm and Vendace are found to be traitors (he also bullies the two rats mercilessly). While out on a scouting mission he runs into the GUOSIM and is insulted by Log a Log, who easily beats him in a brief duel. The shrew Chieftain then turns heel which angers Hogspit and he charges, however Log a Log whirls around at the last possible second and fatally runs him through with his rapier.
