Hisk is a Captain and Slavedriver in Badrang's army who wields several weapons, including a whip that he often uses on the prisoners. He does just this to Barkjon after the old squirrel collapses but stopped by Martin, and later promoted to aide after Skalrag's death. He is part of the audience when the Rambling Rosehip Players put on a "performance" at Marshank (really a distraction so that Felldoh can free the slaves), and participates in the ensuing pursuit. Along with a group of trackers he is ordered to head out and locate them, however they are spotted by Felldoh who attacks them with some javelins. As he has already found the escaped prisoners and realizing that he is losing his trackers, he decides to return to Marshank that night. Boggs mistakes him for foebeasts, and Hisk and his group are slain by arrows.
