Gurrad is a Captain in Badrang's army who lives at Marshank and also acts as the Tyrant's aide. He wields several weapons, is not overly intelligent, and ordered by his leader to deliver a flask filled with poisoned wine to Clogg. He throws on a dark cloak and leaves the fortress's longhouse, unaware that Oilback has been sent by the stoat corsair to kill Badrang. Oilback mistakes him for the Tyrant and slays him, then realizes his mistake and steals the flask which later results in his death.
