Groodl is a short and cruel Scorecat in Felis's army who lives with them at the fortress on Green Isle. He guards Chab and Whulky's respective families when they are tied up underneath the pier, often beating them with a thin willow withe. Seeing this, Felis tells him to take Jeefra and Pitru down to the barracks so they can be lowly guards and hopefully get rid of their spoiled attitudes. After Jeefra is killed by his treacherous brother, Groodl commands the guards and is interrogated by Felis who orders him to bury Jeefra along the bank but out of sight. While his death is not specifically mentioned he is presumably killed by the otters in the final battle.
