Griv is a resident of Mossflower and, along with her mate Inchig, member of the Doomwyte army. She overhears Bisky relating the story of how Gonff steals the Great Doomwyte Idol jewels and flies back to the cavern to relay this information to Skurr. Some time later she and Inchig take some reptiles to the Quarry so they can meet with Baliss, however when they arrive the grass snakes play dead which forces the two birds to speak with the gigantic adder. They succeed in agreeing to a meeting time and return to the Doomwyte cavern. She is the only female magpie to appear in the series.
