Grall is the large leader of Sampetra's gulls who serve Ublaz. Along with three of them he flies to Mossflower with Conva's drawing of the Tears of all Oceans to deliver to Lask, and one of the birds is slain by Gerul during a fight at Saint Ninian's Church. He later dies from exhaustion after flying from Mossflower to Sampetra without rest. Grall is the only named member of his species to appear in the series.
