Gorsepaw - "gorse" being a type of plant - is a resident of Salamandastron and member of the Long Patrol. He is the son of Learunner, and brother of Crocus and Fleetleg. Along with his father and sister he is brutally killed by Gabool's corsairs, and the trio are found by Rawnblade who exacts his revenge by slaying Waveblade's entire crew. His widowed mother passes away less then a season later.
