Gormad is the Firstblade of the Rapscallion army who prefers to sail, thus he rigs the Rapscallion Sword in a way that when it is thrown into the air during a ceremony it always lands on the blade's wavy side. He is the father of Byral and Damug (the latter of whom he strongly dislikes), said to be the most successful Firstbade, attempts to conquer Salamandastron, and receives fatal injuries by Cregga as a result. After his death his two sons duel to see who will succeed him, with Damug coming out victorious.
