Glogalog is the old and fat King of the Toadlands who enjoys being carried around in a canopy-covered hammock, and wields a bulrush sceptre with a bleached lizard skull on top. Upon believing that Durry and Rosie possess magical abilities, he calls them "Bulgums" and treats both creatures with much respect.
