Girfang is the leader of the Streamrats gang who, as their name suggests, live along streams. He is the father of Riddig but appears to almost hate his cowardly son. After the young rat whines to him about being attacked by Martin's group, Girfang thinks he is lying and decides to check it out for himself. The Warrior's group easily defeats him and he beats his son, claiming that the unseen assailants must be otters.
