Gerna is a small crew member aboard Bludgullet who, along with Firty, searches for a good place to start digging into Redwall but they are discovered by Dirril and Tantail who give them a wicked beating. Although his death is not specifically mentioned he presumably dies in the Battle of the Plateau.
