Gelltor is a resident of Marlfox Island where he lives with his family. He is the son of Silth and brother of Ascrod, Lantur, Mokkan, Predak, Vannan, and Ziral. With the exception of Lantur he travels to Mossflower with his siblings to steal beautiful objects for their greedy mother. Like them he has pale eyes, grey fur marked with black and dark blue, wears a brown-and-green cloak, and wields an axe. He usually works with Predak, has a violent temper, and possibly not as intelligent as his brothers and sisters. Along with four others he attempts to open an Abbey wallgate but is spotted by Butty who overhears the ruckus, and he is injured by Rusvul. Following this incident he wants to wage war on the woodlanders but is overruled by his siblings, and he later takes command after Mokkan betrays them all and deserts with Martin's stolen tapestry. He tries to start a fire but fails and later succeeds using a siege ladder, getting access to the walltops until he is stopped and captured by the GUOSIM. While the Abbey inhabitants are figuring out what to do with him he calls Janglur a coward as he claims the squirrel needs an entire force to fight. Janglur challenges him, saying that if he can get past him and through the main gates he will be free. After a brief fight, Gelltor becomes the second Marlfox to perish when his opponent smashes a loaded sling onto his skull. His spirit later appears in one of Mokkan's nightmares.
