Gawjun is a very large and fearsome resident of Southsward who, along with his wife Deekeye, leads a hedgehog tribe. He wields a mace and first meets Bowlys group on a dune, initially acting suspicious towards them until he realizes they are friends. In the final battle the hedgehog tribe is rescued from Nagru's soldiers by the timely arrival of Joseph's crew, and he saves Gael by tossing him to the ground. After the Foxwolf's defeat he assists in constructing a monument.
