Garrent is a stubborn member of the Rogue Crew Sea Otters who lives with them on the High North Coast. He wields a bow and, along with Bartuk, interrogates a captured Crumdun upon orders from Ruggan. They are cruel to the stoat and almost reach the point of killing him until Nubbs intervenes, knocking them both out; this move causes a rift between the two otters and hare Sergeant. Some time later he ignores Skor's commands to flee from Ketral's pursuing band, staying back to fire arrows at the vermin. He is then struck and slain by several poison darts.
