Gadik is a blowpipe-wielding member of the Painted Ones who lives with them in a five-topped oak within Mossflower. While participating in the pursuit of Aluco and Rosie he aims his weapon at the latter, claiming that the hare will perish as he never misses. He doesn't get a chance to fire the dart as he is struck by a large piece of limestone from Bisky, causing him to lose his balance and fall to his death in the pit underneath Redwall.
