Freeta is a soldier in Gulo's horde who originates from the Land of Ice and Snow. She wields a bow and curved sword, and considered to be quite cunning. Along with her mate Shard she views Gulo as simply a "dangerous weapon", however after her partner is killed during a scuffle with Tam's group she vows revenge against the wolverine. Some time later she joins Zerig and fifty fighters in an attack on Redwall, succeeding in convincing the other fox that they should betray Gulo and conquer the Abbey. She plans to put some decoys on a field where the vermin are supposed to fight the Long Patrol while she and a dozen soldiers sneak into Redwall via ropes and grapnels; she would then open a wallgate, let Zerig and the rest of the army inside, and lock Gulo out. The idea works up until the point where her band reaches the Abbey grounds as an injured Buckworthy suddenly charges at them, and she fires off at least two arrows that bury themselves in his chest. The old Brigadier uses his final breath to grab Freeta's sword and fatally run her through, and the two die in some bushes.
