Fortunata is a Mossflower-born healer and hired by Verdauga to cure him of his illness, though she actually sides with Tsarmina and helps to fatally poison the warlord. After this she is promoted within the Thousand Eye Army and spies on the CORIM, befriending a disguised Mask in the process. He later leads her back into the woodlands where she is killed by Amber's crew.
