Floater is a member of Clogg's crew who initially wields a chipped sword and dagger until he replaces the former with Gritter's sword after the rat perishes. He helps to command the battering ram during the first attack on Marshank and participates in the pursuit of Celandine after some slaves are rescued by the Rambling Rosehip Players. During the chase he is slain by a lance hurled through his back by Felldoh, and his weapons are taken by Brome to be used in his disguise so he can sneak back into Marshank and free the remaining prisoners.
