Felltooth is a resident of Terramort and crew member aboard Nightwake who, along with six others, volunteers to swim after Waveblade after Flann and Mikla take her into the sea. They fail in their mission and are punished by being put on guard duty. He raises the alarm of an attack by the TRAG group when an arrow rips through his ear.
