Egburt is a young resident of Redwall where he lives with his family. He is the great-great-grandson of Gurgan and Rufftip, great-grandson of Tragglo, relative of Tragglo's six siblings, paternal grandson of Drogg, and brother of Floburt. Along with his sister he helps to solve Song's riddle and succeeds Alkanet as Infirmary Keeper.
