Dumble is a rascally Dibbun of Redwall who, when the Abbey is afflicted by Dryditch Fever, joins Thrugg on the trip to the Northern Mountains to retrieve the Flowers of Icetor. Upon reaching their destination he befriends MacPhearsome and Rocangus, and in adulthood he sleeps in the Orchard to wait for them to return to Redwall. He tells Salamandastron's events to Burrem, Arula's grandson.
