Dubdub is an infant member of the Witherspyk Performing Players who lives with his family aboard Streamlass. He is the grandson of Crumfiss, son of Oakheart and Dymphnia, brother of Auroria, Jiddle, Jinty, Rambuculus, and Trajidia, adoptive brother of Rainbow and Rikkle, and often repeats the last handful of words from another creature's sentence. He joins his kin on the trip to Redwall and, in the final battle, is briefly held hostage by Zwilt who threatens to kill him if Buckler does not surrender. He and the young hare are saved when Clarinna suddenly appears and slays Zwilt.
