Dorothea - better known as Dotti - is a young resident of the mideastern hills who lives here with her family until she is sent away to Salamandastron so she can learn better manners. She is the daughter of Cramsy and Daphne, niece of Septimus and Blench, plays a hardee gurdee, dislikes being called a "rabbit", and possesses some intelligence. While traveling to the mountain she meets Brocktree and joins his army, helping to gain reinforcements by defeating Bucko in three duels. After Trunn's defeat she is named the first General of the Long Patrol.
