This very large vermin army - consisting of carrion birds, reptiles, and amphibians - is originally led by Rigvar and reside in a massive underground cavern near Mossflower. Members place a glowing liquid on their bodies (for the birds it is on their wingtips; for the reptiles, on their heads) which is used to trick innocent creatures into following them at night, as the victim is entranced by the mysterious light before being either captured or slain. They claim to get their power from the Great Doomwyte Idol statue, and during the events of Doomwyte they are led by Korvus. They are ultimately defeated by the woodlanders. The army is considered to be the longest-existing horde in the series as they have been around since the time of Gonff.
