Doomeye is a dagger-wielding resident of an unknown place and, along with his brother Ripfang, a former corsair. He is quickly made a Captain in Trunn's horde and considered to be its best archer, which is why the wildcat orders him and Ripfang (who will act as lookout) to climb Salamandastron during the final duel; if he sees that Trunn is losing he is to kill Brocktree. Doomeye aims for the badger's head, however right after he releases the arrow Brocktree moves and the missile hits his shoulder. He prepares to place another arrow onto the string but is quickly slain by a well-aimed javelin from Ruff, who had witnessed him launch the first arrow. A terrified Ripfang then flees.
