Deyna is a presumed resident of Redwall and considered to be a skilled warrior. He is the great-grandfather of Rillflag, great-great-grandfather of Deyna/Tagg (who is named after him) and Mhera, and ancestor of Churk, Rumbol, and Skipper (Triss). He has a birthmark in the shape of a speedwell flower on his paw.
