Dargle is a big member of Burrad's band who wields a spear and originates from the Northlands. After Skrodd accidentally kills the weasel leader during a scuffle with Bragoon and Saro, he becomes extremely jealous when the tall fox names himself the band's new Chieftain and openly expresses his displeasure. One night he sneaks up on a sleeping Skrodd and fatally impales him with his spear, but Skrodd uses his last breath to grab his nearby sword and swing horizontally at Dargle's neck. The unlucky rat's neck is almost totally severed and he dies in an instant, falling on top of a dead Skrodd. Their bodies are discovered by Badredd the following morning and he uses the blade to decapitate Dargle before claiming the leadership title.
