Dakkle is a soldier in the water rat army that serves the Marlfoxes and joins them on the trip to Mossflower to steal beautiful things for a greedy Silth. Along with Ascrod, Beelu, and Vannan, he sneaks into Redwall and helps to take Martin's tapestry. Some time later he attempts to set the main gates ablaze but is killed by arrow from Janglur or Rusvul.
