This weapon - consisting of a groove where a projectile is put and a string that is pulled back and often held by some sort of release until the user lets it go - is used for firing missiles such as arrows at enemies. They can either be gigantic, as seen when Beaver and Constance construct one in hopes of assassinating Cluny, or small like the ones that Ketral's band wield.
