Crinktail - so named because her tail is shaped like a Z - is a member of Burrad's band and the mate of Flinky. They are sent out by Badredd to search for reinforcements during the assault on Redwall but captured by Bol's crew and forced to reveal the gang's position. The pair later escape and head south with the band. Unlike mother vermin couples, Crinktail and Flinky appear to care for one another.
