Craklyn is a young resident of Redwall who participates in the search for the Tears of all Oceans, often racing around the grounds with her best friend Piknim. She grieves heavily when the mousemaid is killed by Scruvo's gang, sending her off by singing a song. In adulthood she becomes Abbey Recorder and, along with several others, investigates Verdauga's treasure in Kotir's ancient ruins. As this treasure is later forged into medals for the fighters of the Battle of the Ridge of a Thousand, she is named the Official Keeper of the Medals.
