Conva is a scimitar-wielding resident of Sampetra and Captain of Waveworm. He is the brother of Barranca, does not speak like other corsairs, and ordered by Ublaz to travel to Mossflower and steal the Tears of all Oceans. While he succeeds in murdering Lutra's entire holt save for Grath, the pearls are stolen by Flairnose and Graylunk which forces him to return to Sampetra empty-pawed. He is thrown in prison until Ublaz uses his hypnotic stare to interrogate him and get him to draw the pearls in their case. Conva begs for mercy but the Emperor claims he knows too much and, thanks to his powers, forces the unlucky stoat to jump out a window to his death. Romsca becomes Waveworm's new Captain, and a vengeful Barranca starts the rebellion.
