Badrang the Tyrant dreams of conquering the Eastern Coast, ruling from his fortress Marshank with an iron fist and determined to completely dominate the land. He has a large vermin army at his back, cruelly enslaves woodlanders, and will stop at nothing to ensure his dream becomes a reality.

A young mouse named Martin is captured by the Tyrant who also steals his father's sword, but the prisoner refuses to surrender. Eventually Martin escapes with help from some new friends, and together they plan to gather reinforcements so they can return and end Badrang's reign.

An old enemy of Badrang's returns - Tramun Clogg! The pirate stoat has come seeking his share of the treasure, and he will not leave until he gets what he wants.

Together with new friends, Martin vows to raise an army and fight back against tyranny so that others can live freely - whatever the cost.
