Buscol is the old and fat Abbey Friar (oddly enough, she does carry the title) who sometimes helps to get the Dibbuns to bed. She wears an apron, slippers, wears a shell around her neck as she believes it will bring her good luck, and makes a new jacket for Perigord as well as the Redwall flag that is displayed during the Battle of the Ridge of a Thousand. She is succeeded by her assistant Butty.
