Bullflay is the fat and vicious Slavedriver aboard Goreleech who enjoys beating the prisoners with his whip, especially when they talk or stop rowing. He receives assistance from Fleabitt, and together they torment the slaves. He loses an ear when he foolishly gets too close to Ranguvar, and while he acts tough he is secretly terrified of her and Luke. When the oarslaves launch a rebellion he is killed when Ranguvar chokes him with his own whip.
