Buffle is a rascally Dibbun of Redwall who enjoys following Muggum's group. His garbled speech is often difficult to understand, especially by Setiva (who eventually learns to decipher him), though his fellow infants often translate his words. Despite this he is quite smart and conceives the idea of hurling an extra sack of hotroot pepper at Bol's crew.
