Broggle is a resident of Redwall who works as a Kitchen assistant. He is the husband of Fwirl, father of Rosabel, and has a bad stutter until Boorab teaches him to sing his words rather than speak them. After this he takes every chance to sing, though sometimes the stammer returns when he is nervous, and eventually gains a tenor voice. He assists in solving Song's riddles, is friends with Hoarg, and eventually becomes Abbey Friar.
