Bobbo is an old and fat resident of a cave near the northeast shore, though his origin is unknown. He serves as an oarslave aboard one of Gabool's ships for many seasons until his rowing mate dies, then he is thrown into the sea. He settles down after discovering the cave and lives here with his pet newt Firl, and wears a coat with seaweed as a belt. He does not remember his real name or parents, and helps Mariel's group on their quest by assisting them in retrieving a metal swallow located at the bottom of a pool.
