Blodge is a very cruel resident of Terramort who acts as head Slavedriver aboard Seatalon. He has a hard voice and enjoys beating the oarslaves with his whip, particularly Dandin and Durry. In addition to purposely starving the prisoners he forces them to row for many weeks without rest and, along with his assistant Clatt, "accidentally" spills their rations onto the deck. He is killed by Dandin with Martin's sword when Joseph boards the ship at Terramort's cove.
